HU Honors Martin Luther King, Jr.
The march was on Jan. 17 at 11 a.m., beginning at Emancipation Oak and ending at Ogden Hall. A brief program followed, featuring the Rev. Eddie Wayne Lawrence of Greenwood Baptist Church in Warrenton, N.C., as keynote speaker.




The HU Department of Music and the HU Choirs presented Let Freedom Sing: The Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Choral Festival on Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. in Ogden Hall. This year’s theme was “Choral Music Made in America” and featured the HU Concert Choir, the Elizabeth City State University Concert Choir and the I. Sherman Green Chorale of Norfolk, Va.

HU Students Appear on WAVY-TV 10, Promote MLK March

Watch this news segment on WAVY-TV 10 featuring several Hampton University students as they promote the upcoming Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day March. The march will be held on Jan. 17 at 11 a.m., beginning at the Emancipation Oak and ending with a brief program at Ogden Hall.


Join the HU Choirs at 7 p.m. in Ogden Hall for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Choral Festival. This year's theme is "Choral Music Made in America" and will feature the HU Concert Choir, the Elizabeth City State University Concert Choir and the I. Sherman Green Chorale of Norfolk, Va.

Both events are free and open to the public!
